Bruna Martini – (artist/writer/animator) Bruna is an Italian-British designer crafting animations, illustrations and comics for charities and educators. Her 2023 graphic novel Roots vestigates clues, objects and historical records to piece together the life of an ancestor who fled Italy for South America. Migration, identity and memory in a journey between past and present.

Myfanwy Nixon– (artist/writer) Myfanwy Tristram’s new graphic novel, Noisy Valley, is coming out with SelfMadeHero this May. Based on true stories from residents of one small Welsh community, it aims to challenge current narratives of protest as dangerous, unwelcome and increasingly illegal, instead depciting activism as a creative and joyful act. Myf will share how she approached the project, and tell you one big thing that went wrong… so you can avoid doing the same!
