Join Wallis Eates for practical drawing exercises and tips to help you balance your practice with your other commitments. Wallis will introduce you to strategies to address creative blocks and show you ways to sustain your motivation in your practice in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
Wallis Eates Biography
Devon Co-ordinator (2015 -)
Wallis was shortlisted for the Myriad Editions First Graphic Novel Award in 2014, and was long listed again in 2023. She has produced a number of zines and self-published comics and contributed to various anthologies.
In 2020, her collaboration with Dr. Victoria Anderson and prisoners at HMP Wandsworth, ‘Wings’ was released. She then worked for several years on ACE funded ‘Like an Orange’ that came about after being an artist-in-residence at the charity, Headway, the publication for which is currently on hold.
Wallis regularly runs the LDComics strand ‘Safe Space for Hard Stories‘, an online reflective practice support group for autobiographical comic makers, as well as a various other fun and experimental online drawing workshops, including ‘Draw to Explore’ and ‘Hear it, See it, Show it’.
