Hayley Gullen (she/her) UK
Hayley Gullen, comic creator – was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 at the age of 37. Her graphic memoir, “This Might Surprise You”, describes her diagnosis, treatment and recovery. An extract was shortlisted for the 2023 Caliburn Prize, and her panels about radiotherapy have been featured in a medical journal. @ hayleygullen
Anna Readman (she/her) UK
@annareadman is a Leeds based cartoonist and illustrator best known for her work in 2000 AD and her self-published comic ‘Peach Fuzz’. She recently won the Observer/Faber Graphic Short Story Prize 2023 with her original comic ‘Dancing Queen’.
Anna will share her work and experience in self-publishing comics, working in comics retail, and her new jump into freelancing full-time, as well as the importance, necessity and joy of the comics community. @annareadman
