s an illustrator, printmaker, poet and teacher. Her illustrative work is centred on illustrating poetry as comics in a project named Seeing Poetry: Poetry in Words and Comics This began as a collaboration with poet Clare Shaw (Bloodaxe Books) Two mini books were produced funded by Arts Council, England (2014-15) They also documented the Mechanics at Home art project in Burnley, using poetry and comics.
She combined her teaching experience with comics and when she contributed to Asteroid Belter: The Newcastle Science Comic. She delivers comics workshops to children and adults, specialising in comics and literature.
She now is writing more poetry some of which she illustrates with comics. She had a poem included in the the Dragons of the Prime: poems about dinosaurs (The Emma Press) and has had illustrations included on some poetry book / journal covers.
